Amazing Antarctica, 10 days from $5,595!
BUCKET LIST: Explore the 7th continent & see penguins in their natural habitat.
If you are looking to achieve that unique adventure that few will dare to undertake, something in the category of "trip of a lifetime" then this might be for you. Exploring our 7th continent, Antarctica could give you ridiculous bragging rights, amazing photos and a memorable experience. Antarctica is a place I KNOW that I will go someday, and Quark Expeditions is the company whose expeditions I follow.
Three reasons I want to visit Antarctica:
1) Achieve the 7th continent, need I say more?
2) See penguins in their natural habitat (or polar bears, for that matter!)
3) Be present and feel the awe of it all. Ice, water, sun, silence, ice and more ice.
Overall, I suspect that Antarctica must be felt and experienced in order to grasp it all. I think that I may feel small (and possibly a little chilly) in the world at that moment when I am there. But, I want to know that it exists. It's not just a tv documentary or a picture I found online. It's real, and I am there. We both exist together at the same time.
Surreal perhaps, but someday I will be at this place. And, I've noticed that expeditions there are very expensive. Which I why I stalk Quark Expeditions every year, because they offer some lower price packages that make it possible for the dreamer in me to keep this on my radar.
